Percy Bacon and Brothers were responsible for only a handful of organ decoration projects. This example at St Margaret of Antioch in Princes Road, Toxteth, is his second, the first being at St Peter ad Vincula, Coggleshall, Essex. The scheme is simple, the organ pipes being painted alternating red, green, blue and gold. Each is embelished with gold leaf and floral patterns with the exception of the central pipe which is embossed with gold fleur de lys and the word "alleluia" along its length. Included at the base of the pitch of each pipe is noted. However, it is unlikely these pipes produce any sound, as they are merely for decorative effect. It is uncertain whether the bacon Studio also decorated the walls to either side of the organ chamber.

The Builder reported the works as follows:

"ORGAN, ST MARGARET'S CHURCH, PRINCES ROAD, LIVERPOOL: This organ in this well-known church has been decorate, at a cost of £100, by Messrs. Percy Bacon and Bros. of London." 1
